Baby Michelle was born with a condition called Laryngomalacia. She was taken to the the federal medical center in Umuahia for medical diagnosis and evaluation as early as 3 weeks after her birth. But, due to some reasons, they couldn’t commence treatment as she was too tender.
We were asked to come back once she clocks 3 months old, but we’ve been unable to do so, due to financial crisis.
Laryngomalacia is a birth defect of the vocal cord(voice box). Which makes babies to have squeaky sounds while sleeping, eating and breathing disorder. It’s a condition that causes the voice box to collapse at some point while breathing. It’s otherwise called – a floppy voice box. It causes a disturbing stridor.
